Bio sketch
Luca Di Gaspero received his MSc degree (1998) and his PhD in Computer Science (2002) from the University of Udine. He worked as a Research Assistant from 2003 to 2004 at the same university and, in January 2005, he joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Information Technology at the School of Educational Sciences.
His research interests ranges from Artificial Intelligence (study and application of meta-heuristics to combinatorial optimization problems), to Software Engineering (Design and Development of object-oriented frameworks for local search), up to Information Retrieval (evaluation of IR quality metrics). He is a member of the Scheduling and Timetabling Group at the Department of Electrical, Management and Mechanical Engineering and has authored or co-authored more than 70 scientific articles on international journals and conferences. Some bibliometric indicators of his research activity are the following (updated January 2010): more than 500 citations, h-index 12, g-index 20, citations per author, 233.64, citations per year 41.67.
