Research activities

The main activity of our group is in the field of Digital Signal Processing, with emphasis on video coding. We are also active in the field of wavelets and filter banks, both on the theoretical and applicative sides.

Our group is also active in few less common fields of DSP, that is,

• Compression for transmission over unreliable channels (a.k.a. source/channel coding)
• Compressive Sensing
• Distributed Coding
• Video streaming over Peer-to-Peer networks
